The African Continental Free Trade Area has generated $100 billion in intra-African trade in its first full year of operation. The agreement is accelerating economic integration across the continent of 1.3 billion people.

Intra-African trade reached $100 billion, a 25% increase from pre-agreement levels. Tariff elimination on 90% of goods has made African products more competitive against imports.

Manufacturing exports have grown significantly as companies establish regional supply chains. Job creation in tradeable sectors has exceeded projections, particularly in East and West Africa.
Implementation Progress
Infrastructure investments are connecting markets previously isolated by poor roads and customs delays. Digital platforms are simplifying trade documentation and payment processing.
